APPDA Norte is an association dedicated to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Its visual identity was designed to reflect the diversity and complexity of the autism spectrum. To address the association's communication needs, a website was developed to introduce the organization, showcase its services, educate the public about autism, and provide a news section for regular and updated communication.

Contradicting the linearity often associated with the autism spectrum, the APPDA Norte symbol embraces the diversity and complexity of this spectrum through its circular shape.
The three human figures, represented as equals, symbolize the support and collaboration among all members of the community. Their progressive scale also reflects APPDA Norte's commitment to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum at all stages of life.
The color palette of APPDA Norte has blue as its primary color due to its association with well‑being and calm. To honor and preserve the association's history, two shades of red were adopted as secondary colors. The application of these red tones on the head of the largest figure refers back to the organization’s previous logo.
To reinforce the idea of a spectrum, a blue gradient was adopted. This gradient is applied to the logo to emphasize the idea of the spectrum and to create a sense of unity among the different human figures through a progressive color transition.
For complementary colors, two light blue tones were selected for background applications, while a dark blue tone was designated for use in long text.
The institutional typography of APPDA Norte is Mazzard Soft H, selected for its rounded design. This choice aims to humanize the association, making its visual identity more welcoming. The secondary typography of APPDA Norte is Montserrat. This typeface intends to complement Mazzard Soft H in long texts and smaller scales, ensuring readability.
After meeting with APPDA Norte to assess the organization's communication needs, the site map was developed to define the overall website's structure and navigation.
This guided the creation of a low‑fidelity prototype, that prioritized the organization and hierarchy of information, offering a preliminary view of how content would be displayed. Through further meetings, this prototype was refined based on feedback, ensuring it aligned with the association's goals and audience expectations.
Afterwards, a high‑fidelity prototype was developed, incorporating APPDA Norte’s branding elements such as colors, typography, and imagery.
APPDA Norte’s website fosters empathy with the public by showcasing the association's history, mission, and team. It provides information and resources about autism, and details the organization’s available services.
The website also highlights APPDA Norte’s funding options, encouraging public contributions to support its mission. Moreover, it streamlines the organization’s processes by providing forms for workshop’s registration, membership applications, and general inquiries.
As a communication platform, the website includes a news section to keep the audience informed about the organization’s latest activities.
